Tsielepis teaches EU VAT Expert Degree online

Brussels Due to Covid-19 flight and other restrictions, the ECJ Court Cases module of the EU VAT Expert Degree 2020-2021 will be done on line via Zoom.

The online classes will take place from Monday, 28 September 2020 to Friday, 2 October 2020 and will be taught by VAT Forum Partner and Managing Director of Chelco VAT Ltd, Alexis Tsielepis.

Tsielepis explained that the 5-day course will examine a selection of 50 European Court of Justice (ECJ) court cases, spanning over 40 years of jurisprudence and across all topics of VAT.

“The judgments will all be analysed and their practical impact will be discussed. Through the review, explanation and analysis of each judgment, participants will grasp the underlying principles of EU VAT interpretation, across a wide array of topics,” he added.

Due to its on line nature, registrations are still open. For more information and to register, click here.

The EU VAT Expert Degree 2020-2021 is organised by the VAT Forum, an international partnership of indirect tax specialists based in Belgium. It consists of a vast network of VAT experts across the globe and is a leader in the provision of VAT advice and VAT education. Through forums, seminars and workshops it informs the EU Commission, national VAT authorities and the industry in general on existing and proposed new VAT legislation, but also provokes thought and discussion on a series of pressing VAT problems.
