Navigating the EU VAT Directive
There is a logic surrounding the workings of the EU VAT Directive which forms the basis of the VAT system in any EU Member State.
The aim of this full-day seminar is to navigate you through the waypoints of the Directive and emerge possessing a comprehensive knowledge of the workings of VAT.
The seminar represents a detailed map of the Directive, charted in such a way so as to help beginners and advanced VAT users alike to understand the basic reasoning and functioning of the VAT system throughout the EU, with reference to key judgments from the European Court of Justice (ECJ).

The Instructor
Alexis Tsielepis, Managing Director of Chelco VAT Ltd, is widely considered as the foremost expert on VAT in Cyprus. Alexis advises businesses on international VAT matters and lectures at local and international VAT conferences.
Over the coming months, Alexis will be sharing his knowledge on VAT, in a series of seminars organized by the Chelco VAT International Academy, covering an array of topics, starting with Navigating the EU VAT Directive.
Alexis is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and a member of the VAT Committee of ICPAC. He also holds the Expert in European Value Added Tax (VAT) Degree, which he earned with the highest grade ever awarded in the history of the coveted diploma. He is now a Partner and a Director of the VAT Forum.
